Funeral Services Held for Mrs. Nora Stone

Funeral services for Mrs. Nora Stone were at 1 o'clock January 7, 1974, at the Jones Funeral Home, Burlington.

Rev. Arthur Sorg, minister, Assembly of God church, Burlington was the officiant.

Interment was in Big Creek Cemetery.

Nora Stone was born November 8, 1886, in Coffey county, Kansas, the daughter of Sam and Margaret Nelson Cokeley.

She was married to Ira L. Stone and they lived for many years in the Big Creek and Gravel Hill neighborhoods in southern Coffey County.

Following his death in 1957, she lived in LeRoy for several years. For the past ten years she had been a resident of the Golden Age Lodge in Burlington, where her death came on January 4.

She was also preceded by her two sons, Henry Wade and Lloyd and one brother, Jim.

Survivors include one grand-daughter; three great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Gertie Iseman of Lockridge Iowa and Mrs. Lois Fairchild of Salina and other relatives and friends.
