Mr. Buchmiller came to Lodi in 1931. He married Ada Miller in 1939. He worked for Holtz Rubber Company for 16 years, then for S & W Wheel alignment in Walnut Grove until his retirement in 1975 as a service manager. He was a resident of the area for 71 years.
After his retirement he enjoyed gardening, riding motorcycles and handwork.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Lodi and a charter member of the Lodi Motorcycle Club.
He is survived by his borther Henry Buchmiller of Lodi, sisters Freda Barstow of Stockton and Helen Silva of Modesto.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 56 years Ada who died in 1995; daughter Shirley Buchmiller in 1998, brothers Alvin and Otto; and sisters Vervena Lunsway and Loretta Evans.
