Bernice Rosella Lampman, 96, of Red Wing, died Saturday, Nov. 3, at the Red Wing Health Center.

Bernice was born Jan. 18, 1916, in Rock Elm Township, Wis., the daughter of Joseph and Myrtle (Bee) Babcock. She grew up and attended school in Rock Elm Township. In 1933, she married Fred Lampman, and eventually they moved to Red Wing, where Fred worked for Durkee Atwood.

She enjoyed babysitting for her grandchildren, working in the yard and garden, and doing craft projects.

She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie (Burl Beaulieu) Steffenhagen of Red Wing; five grandchildren, Scott, Jeff, Joe (Melody), and Vicky Lampman, and Mitzie Knapp; seven great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and one daughter-in-law, Marlene Lampman of Red Wing.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Fred; sons, Tom and Jerry Lampman; two sisters; one brother; and one great-grandson.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 9, at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel, with Reverend Greg Strunk officiating. Visitation will be for 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery.
