Jack W Anderson age 71 a past resident of Tipton and presently of Stuart Florida passed away on September 1 2010 in Florida. He was born on December 6. 1938 to Russell and Blanche (Slaughter) Anderson. Jack had gratuated from Tipton High School in 1956 And attented Ball State University later in the 80s He was police officer his entire life.first with the US Army from 1956 to 1959 where he held a Certified Expert rating with both pistol and rifle then the Tipton County Police and finally as an officer with the Norfolk and Western Railroad Police from 1969 until his retirement in 1993. For a brief time he was married to Doris Jones. he thne married Jan McCreary Ewing on December 1 1974.and she servives. He was active in the puppet ministry at the Frankfort First Babtist Church. he was also active in the Riverside Avenue Baptist Church In Muncie. Christ Church UMC In Findlay Ohio. and the Comunity Baptist Church in Stuart Florida. Survivors include his wife Jan. Three Children Shirley Anderson, Robert Anderson and Stephanie Anderson all of Tipton.Three Step- Children

Beverly(Bobby)Mahaney and Brenda(JIm)henry both of Tipton.Jack is preceded in death by his parents and a son in law Randy Buesink. A memorial srevice will be held at the Porter Funeral Home at 5.30PM on September 18th 2010 with the Rev.Paul Sittason Stark officating. Jacks family will be reciving friends two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
