Glenn Clevenger Martin, 61, of Winchester, Virginia died on Saturday, June 2, 2012, at Warren Memorial Hospital in Front Royal.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal conducted by Rev. Jim Simmons. Burial will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery.

Glenn was born June 7, 1950 in Front Royal, VA, youngest son of the late Mortimer Marion Martin, Sr. and Hilda Clevenger Martin.

He grew up on Duck Street in Riverton, VA. Glenn graduated from Warren County High School, Class of 1969. After high school Glenn joined the U.S. Army and served as a MP in Thailand during the Vietnam War. He was active in the Boy Scouts of America and loved to tell of his trip to the Woodstock Music Festival. He was dedicated member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans John S. Mosby Camp #1237, and was an avid volunteer at the Warren Rifles Confederate Museum.

Glenn lived in Ardmore, OK for many years, returning to Virginia in 2002. He was currently employed at O'Sullivan Films in Winchester, VA.

He is survived by his daughter, Rebecca Martin of Winchester; two sisters Martressa Zuckerman and Cynthia Brown of Winchester; three brothers, Samuel Martin and Joseph Martin of Ardmore, OK and Russell Martin of Front Royal.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Mortimer M. Martin, Jr. Glenn leaves behind many friends and family members who loved him and will always miss him.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal, VA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Warren Rifles Confederate Museum Flag Restoration Fund, P.O. Box 1304, Front Royal, VA 22630.
