William Lee Brooks, Sr., 47, of Montpelier, died Friday, October 7, 2011 at Henrico Doctors' Hospital.

Survivors include the love of his life, Sharon and their children, Lisa and William, all of Montpelier; two sisters, Bernice Ann Fernandes of Fredericksburg and Sandra Dee Bentley of Spotsylvania County; one brother, Henry Floyd Brooks, Jr. of King George County; a special uncle, Jerrell Seay of Louisa County; and five half brothers, Lewis Hawley of Richmond, James Hawley of Gordonsville, Thomas Hawley of Richmond, Stephen Brooks of Spotsylvania and Keith Brooks of Spotsylvania.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:30pm Wednesday, October 12 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.

A funeral service will be held at 1pm Thursday, October 13 at Mine Road Baptist Church in Spotsylvania with the Rev. Ray Farrow officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
