Henry Berth, 90, formerly of Howards Grove, died Friday at Memorial Hospital following a short illness.
Born Sept. 1, 1889, in the Town of Meeme, he was a son of the late Frank and Wilhelmina Wilke Berth.
On Oct 6, 1933, he married Esther Drier. The couple lived in Millersville, where he owned and operated a garage for 17 years, until moving to Howards Grove. In June 1978, he moved to Rocky Knoll Health Care Facility.
Mrs. Berth died in 1972.
Mr. Berth was a carpenter and a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in the Town of Herman.
Survivors are one sister, Mrs. Elsie Illig of Kiel; one stepbrother, Herbert Shon of Idaho Falls, Idaho; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Ahrens Funeral Home in Howards Grove. The Rev. Henry Juroff, pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, and Monday until the time of service.
A memorial fund has been established in his name.
