Bonnie Gay Walton, 83, of Chestnut Street, Greeneville, died Friday at Laughlin Memorial Hospital.

She was retired from Magnavox.

Mrs. Walton was a member of First Church of God.

She was a member of the Ladies Auxillary of Veterans of Foreign Wars, Andrew Johnson Post No, 1990, was a Cub Scout den mother, and a member of the Joy Group of First Church of God.

She was a loving Christian mother who was devoted to her family and church.

Survivors include her husband of 63 years, O.A. Walton; one daughter, Sharon Shipley, two sons and daughter-in-laws, Dan and Brenda Walton, and Randy and Tina Walton; two granddaughters, Wyndi Patterson and Sarah Shipley, one great-grandson, Drew Patterson, a sister and brother-in-law, Delores and Douglas Hammitt, a special cousin who was like a sister, Mary Ruth Franklin, several nieces and nephews, and special friends, Allen Harrison and Trevor Tester.

She was the daughter of the late Charlie and Lula Hatley and was preceded in death by two sisters, Hilda Hensley and Patricia Deakins, and one brother, James W. Hatley. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel.

The Rev. Daryl Sovine and Pastor Stephen Allen will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Arlin Shelton, Jackie McCrary, Jason Ricker, Dean Hall, Shannon Jackson, Jeff Odum, Jerry Mack Strom and Trevor Testor.

Intermitt will be in Greene Lawn Memory Gardens.
