VAUXHALL, Sept. 1. — One of
Vauxhall's old timers passed away
recently at the age of 88 in the person
of Joseph R. Norman, a well known
figure in the early days of this district. although in recent years he had gone into retirement.
Born in Portsmouth England, he came to Canada at an early age and settled in the Vauxhall district in 1906. Here he made a host of friends and was esteemed as a quiet and industrious citizen.
The funeral service was held from the home Saturday with Rev. H.W. Johnson officiating. Interment took place in the Vauxhall cemetery.
