Obituary
The Lusk Herald
Clarence Cecil Pearce, son of Mr. and Mrs. Phil Pearce died Friday morning April 11th of tubercular-menengitis. He was aged nearly three years.
The funeral was held Saturday afternoon from the Congregational Church with Rev. S. Burman Long officiating. The service was well attended and many floral tributes were offered. Rev. Long preached an appropriate sermon and the choir rendered the following hymns: "Nearer my God to Thee," "Asleep in Jesus" and "Peace, Perfect Peace." Mr. and Mrs. Pearce came to Lusk about five weeks ago from Wessington Springs S. D. They have found many friends here who express the deepest sympathy for them in their bereavement.
We had a little treasure once,
He was our joy and pride,
We loved him ah! perhaps too well,
For soon he slept and died.
All is dark within our dwelling,
Lonely are our hearts today,
For the one we loved so dearly,
Has forever passed away.
