Lorna Gencianeo Chin, 66, of Panama City, Florida passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at Gulf Coast Medical Center after an extended battle with ovarian cancer. Lorna was born in Camangahan, Iloilo, Philippines, and had lived in the United States since 1967. She was a Registered Nurse and a loving wife, mother, and homemaker. Lorna was a parishioner at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Panama City, FL and St. Mary's Catholic Church in Potsdam, NY.
Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Der-Tau Chin of Panama City; and her daughters, Janet Andrews and husband Steve of Arlington, VA and Lynn Chin of Palo Alto, CA.
A funeral service took place Monday, June 4, 2012, at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Panama City. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge of Burlington, 237 East Avenue, Burlington, VT 05402-3412.
