Robert Cecil Franks, 90, husband of Laura Alice Walker Franks, passed away on January 8, 2012 at the Clark Regional Medical Center, Winchester.

A native of Bourbon County, he was the son of the late, Edward and Lida Franks. He was a retired employee of the Bluegrass Army Depot, A United States Army Veteran of World War II, member of the American Legion and a member of the Clintonville Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife he is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Lane and Marvin Haggard of Clay City and Seleste Rice of Paris; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Rodney and Mary Cosby of Paris and Odell Cosby of Paris; 16 grandchildren, Rodney Cosby, Jr., A.J. Cosby, Joy Cosby, Ivan K. Rice, Dwayne and Lisa Rice, Terry and Sheila Rice, Yvette and Adama Ndiaye, Odell Cosby, Jr., Eddie Cosby, Bryson Cosby, Travis and Lindsey Haggard, Arty Myers, Tony Campbell, Chris Campbell, Shawn Cosby, Jr. and Tanner Arnold; a host of great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by a son Larry Shawn Cosby, Sr.; a grandson, Larry "Bugs" Myers; son-in-law, Robert W. Rice and a special great great nephew, Ronnie Chenault, Jr.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 PM Thursday January 12, 2012 at the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home, 1120 Main St., Paris by the Rev. Gerald Dodge. Burial will be in the Evergreen Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be from 10:00AM until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be Albert Wess, Col. Paul Walker, Ronnie Chenault, Sr., Mike Chenault, Sr., Adama Ndiaye, Darnell Hall, Raymond Rice, Mitch Chenault, Sr. and Johnny Bussell.

The funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home, 1120 Main St., Paris, KY, 859-987-2500.
