Nancy L. burk, 82, formerly of Brighton, died at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, June 4, 2012, at Jersey Community Hospital.
She was born in Alton on February 5, 1930, to the late James and Lucy (Taylor) Aldridge.
On June 24, 1948, in West Point, Georgia, shemarried Floyd Edwin Burk. He died April 24, 1987.
She was a homemaker.
She is survived by two sons, Steve and Jan Burk of Jackson, Missouri, and Brian Burk of Evanston, Illinois; a daughter, Teresa Pritchard of Lexington, North Carolina; three grandchildren, Dean (Sally) Clark, Kyle (Ingrid) Burk, and Drew Burk; two great-grandchildren, Max and Coco Clark; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Abe, Rudy, Seldon, Tyner, and Deacon Aldridge, and three sisters, Lois Bruce, Nina Franz, and Jessie Roberts-Carroll.
Services will be private, with the Rev. Mike Rayson officiating.
Burial will be at Brighton Cemetery.
Memorials mau be made to the food pantry at The St. Paul United Methodist Church.
Targhetta and Wooldridge Funeral Home in Brighton is in charge of arrangements.
