Daughter of Ed and Grace Whitehurst Bowden. Granddaughter of William and Mae Murphy Whitehurst.

NORFOLK - Jacqueline Bowden "Jackie" Lichtenberg, 86, left this world Aug. 17, 2011 to spend eternity with her savior, Jesus Christ. She was born in Norfolk to the late Ed and Grace Bowden. Jackie was a member of Hyde Park Free Will Baptist Church in Norfolk. Jackie retired from Sentara Healthcare and spent her retirement devoted to her family. She was a godly woman who was an incredibly kind, caring, loving, generous, sweet mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She lived her life with no complaints and was always grateful for her blessings. She is survived by her daughters, Susan Forehand and Karen Figley; five grandchildren and seven beautiful great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister, Betty Roche, and her beloved grandmother, Mae Whitehurst. A private graveside service is planned. In lieu of flowers, your prayers are sincerely appreciated.
