Mr. Knauss moved to Prescott Valley in 1982 from Coldwater, Mich. He retired in 1980 as a long haul teamster driver for ATL Freightline and was a member of the Teamsters Union.
He served from Sept 16, 1941, until Dec. 6, 1945 in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Disabled American Veterans, Post, Prescott Valley.
Mr. Knauss was mechanically inclined and he enjoyed working on automobiles and enjoyed riding motorcycles.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Wava, whom he married Nov. 7, 1964, in Pleasant Lake, Ind.; brother and sister-in-law Lymen and Margie Knauss of Union City, Mich.; and a sister and brother-in-law Florence and Challis Yearick of Long Beach, Calif.
Private creation with inurnment was held in Redwood Memorial Gardens in Dewey.
Arrangements were under the direction of Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home in Prescott.
