Daniel Eugene McBain, the 3-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene McBain of 324 West Maple street, died at a local hospital Saturday afternoon as a result of injuries he received when he fell out of his parents' car near Touchet about 4 p.m. He was born on December 25, 1944, at Mt. Vernon, Wash.
His parents were coming to Walla Walla from Yakima, where McBain recently was transferred by Sherwood and Roberts when the child accidentally opened the car door and fell to the pavement. He was rushed to the hospital but died upon arrival.
Besides his parents, he is survived by a brother, Michael Ray McBain, and his grandparents, Mrs. Cora McBain of Walla Walla and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Gilpin of Renton.
