Mr. Geoffrey Stanton Bettany, age 40, of Broadway, NC died Wednesday, June 6, 2012.

He was born in Lee County on July 2, 1971 to Michael and Carol Ann Bettany of Ahoskie, NC. Geoffrey worked as a carpenter in home construction.

In addition to his parents Geoffrey is survived by his wife Robin Lynne Honeycutt Bettany; two daughters Meghan Stanton Bettany and Makenzi Marie Bettany both of the home; one brother Michael S. Bettany and wife Dianna Dawn of Broadway; two sisters Paula Annette Bettany of Sanford, Andrea Carole New and husband Ricky of Colerain; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Miller presiding. The family will receive friends following the memorial service at the funeral home. The family will also be receiving friends Thursday and Friday afternoon from 4-8 PM at the home of Michael & Dianna Bettany, 1385 Lawrence Road, Broadway.
