PENNINGTON - LEE
At the home of her aunt, Mrs. Hugh Reid, Miss Mary Paxton Pennington was married Wednesday afternoon to Mr. Lenus Virgil Lee, of Middlesboro. Owing to illness in the family the marriage was a very quiet affair, only about a dozen close friends and relatives being present. Dr. A. S. Moffett, of Lebanon, performed the ceremony and Dr. T. W. Pennington and Mr. J. Welch Rochester stood with them while the marriage vows were being taken. The bride, who is one of the sweetest, prettiest and best girls in this or any other section, wore a traveling suit of blue broadcloth with hat to match. She was an exceedingly handsome bride and the man who had won her heart and hand had a right to feel proud of her. The groom, who is a fine young man, is a successful druggist of Middlesboro and a gentleman in all the word means. He is a brother of Mr. Frank Lee, well-known here, and like him is a man of model habits and excellent morals. He and his bride start out in life under most auspicious circumstances and here's hoping that never a cloud of trouble will overtake them. They left on the 5:27 train for Louisville and thence to Indianapolis, where they will visit the groom's sister. Before going to Middlesboro Mr. and Mrs. Lee will spend a short while in LaGrange, the groom's old home. A number of wedding presents were received by the contracting parties, attesting to some extent the high estimation in which they are held by their many friends.
