A lifelong resident of Nodaway County, Mr. Brunk had lived in Skidmore for the past 13 years. He was a member of the Methodist Church.
He is survived by four daughters, Phyllis E. Deen of Quitman, Betty J. Dragoo of Burlington Junction, Zona Marlene Carroll of Sheridan, and Beulah H. Brown of Skidmore; five sons, Henry Brunk of Lancaster, Calif., Roy Brunk of Malvern, Iowa, Edgar Wayne Brunk of St Joseph, Leslie M. Brunk of Leavenworth, Kan., and Harry D. Brunk of Denison, Tex.; two sisters, Cora Kempf of Maryville and Offie Oyerly of St Joseph; 35 grandchildren, 62 great-grandchildren, six step-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren."
