Ruth Nonio (Hansen) Larson was born on Christmas Day in 1893. She was raised on a farm in Hendricks. She was the daughter of Jennie (Danielson) Hansen and Hans Hansen and one of many children. She married Caleb Francis Larson (born February 22, 1886) on October 6, 1915. They had five children: Judith (Judy) Madeleine, b. October 11, 1916, Louis Halbert b. April 12, 1919, Rena Ethel b. April 29, 1923 (d. April 23, 1926), Shirley Ruth b. March 27, 1927 and Blaine Francis b. March 24, 1932. They farmed most of their lives in Hendricks,Minnesota, but also lived in Elgin, Illinois. Ruth enjoyed her grandchildren, cooking, rock and stamp collecting and playing the piano. She always sent her grandchildren a five dollar bill on each of their birthdays!
