Mrs. Louie Ahrens and Mrs. Henry Brettman returned Thursday from Lincoln, where they had been to consult medical specialists regarding a disease affecting the little child of Mr. and Mrs. Ahrens. We are informed that no encouragement was given and the baby was in a dangerous condition when they reached home. The disease is some form of scrofulous affection (sic) which has already eaten away a portion of the child's face. Later: The child died Friday.
