Obituary:

Charles F. Adams, 83, a deputy county assessor in North Topeka for the last six years, died at his home, 1226 Logan, Sunday. He was born June 15, 1861, in Illinois, but came to Kansas as a young man. In the grocery business in Topeka for many years, first on West Seventeenth and then for 17 years in a store on the site of the present North Topeka post office, he sold his property to the government when the land was needed for the post office.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Ara Adams, and a stepdaughter, Mrs. Florence Gallettly, of Kansas City, Kan.

Charles married Aggie Ferguson on Feb. 22, 1889 at Topeka, Kansas. She died on September 15, 1912 at Topeka, Kansas. They had one child, Grace Margurite Adams, who died in infancy.

Charles later married Ara (Norris) Harrold.
