Emma taught school in her later years and then worked as a cook at Morrison for a number of years. She was a member of Hudson Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school for 44 years. She was a 50-year member of Hudson Grange and past member of the Rebekahs.
Surviving are two sons, George Stone and his wife, Pam, and Luther Stone, all of Hudson; two daughters, Ethel Waite of Corinth and Verna Stone of Hudson; nine grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, four brothers and three sisters.
Graveside funeral services will be held at Hudson Cemetery with the Rev. Garnett Chute officiating. (Bangor Daily News posted 6/8/2012)
