Claude worked his early years driving for Trailways and then Sevier County Utility District. He retired with 40 years of service from John H. Coleman Company and then worked for the Cherokee Group until age 84.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Sevierville. He was active in the Civil Air Patrol for many years and also Boy Scouts of America. He enjoyed carpentry and woodworking and growing orchids. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Lyman, Hugh, and Fred Huff, sister Dorothy McCarter Myers, and sisters-in-law Gladys Huff and Blanche Miller Huff.
Interment will be in Shiloh Cemetery with military honors provided by American Legion Post 104. (www.atchleyfuneralhome.com)
