Menetta Arlene Alice Noble was born June 17, 1918, in Hanover, York County, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Robert Cleveland and Florence Mae Auchey Noble. On September 9, 1939, in Leesburg, Loudoun County, Virginia, she married Charles William Valentine, son of Charles Franklin and Bertha Adella Hyser Valentine. They were the parents of 4 children. Menetta passed away on June 4, 2007, in Jacksonville, Duval County, Florida, and was buried on the 7th in Jacksonville Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Orange Park, Clay County, Florida.

"Valentine--Noble. Announcement has been made of the marriage of Miss. Menetta A. A. Noble, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Noble, Hanover, and Charles W. Valentine, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Valentine, New Oxford Route 1, which took place Saturday, September 9, at Leesburg, Virginia. The ceremony was performed in the Presbyterian Church by the Rev. J. Shannon Montgomery. They were unattended. The bride was attired in a grotto blue dress with brown accessories and wore a shoulderette of rose-buds. Both the bride and bridegroom are employed by the Coulson Heel Company, Hanover. Mr. and Mrs. Valentine are residing in the Hanover apartments."

VALENTINE Menetta Arlene Alice (Noble) Valentine was born in Hanover, PA on June 17, 1918, passed away June 4, 2007. She was married to the late Charles William Valentine for over 65 years. She was a member of the Eastern Star Chapter 247; however Menetta will mainly be remembered as a magnificent sales person and an avid collector of all things. Possessing a strong entrepreneurial spirit, she was an Independent AVON Representative for 54 years and during that time she was presented with 23 Albee Figurines, as well as many other honors and awards. In addition to the AVON, Menetta was also involved in several other home-based businesses including Cameo and Artex Fabric Paints and Dutchmaid Clothing. She is survived by David M. Valentine, Lynette (Robert) Reagle, Lisa (Jeffery) Kelly, and Loreen Wiggins, as well as 7 grandchildren and 12 great- grandchildren. Menetta will be laid to rest Thursday, June 7, 2007 at 10am at a graveside service in Jacksonville Memory Gardens located in Orange Park, FL. Relatives and friends are welcome. The family would like to thank Gardner Riel and her staff: Cindy, Debbie, Wanda, and Sylvia for their invaluable services. Also, many thanks to the staff at LifeCare who brought smiles to Mom's face in her final days. Arrangements are in the care of Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home Blanding Chapel."
