Vickey Lynn Burton, 62, of Amarillo died Tuesday, March 6, 2012.

Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel with Milton Jones officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Mrs. Burton was born June 18, 1949, in Hereford to Louis and Lydia Schneider. She married Douglas Burton in December 1967, in Amarillo. Mrs. Burton loved going to Las Vegas, cooking and Tai Chi — but most of all, she loved her family and being a grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas.

Survivors include a daughter, Kelly Crowley and husband Chris of Amarillo; a son, Kyle Burton and wife Becky of Amarillo; five grandchildren, Sean, Patrick, Logan, Berkleigh and Baileigh, all of Amarillo; and a sister, Sharon Riley and husband Ed of Amarillo.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be to Amarillo Downtown Lions Club, P.O. Box 2792, Amarillo, TX 79105.
