ANZIVINO,Lawrence D. "Chip" Of Miami, FL, formerly of Needham, died unexpectedly on Monday, December 12, 2011 at his home.
He was 52.
Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Lawrence D. and Patricia (Burns) Anzivino, and was a graduate of Needham High School.
An actor and chef by trade, he graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in German Literature. He spent his junior year at the University of Munich in conjunction with Wayne State University. He also studied acting technique and directing with the Theater Studio in New York from 1986-1990, as well as the New York University Playwrights Workshop.
Fluent in German, French, Spanish, conversational Russian, and Italian, Chip performed in over 15 productions, Off Broadway, with the Theater Studio in New York City, 8 productions with the Berkshire Public Theater in Pittsfield, MA, as well as voiceover work.
He was also an accomplished chef, having won a "Best Of Miami" award while pastry chef at the Ice Box Café.
He was the brother of Peter M. Anzivino and his wife Luanne of Holliston, MA, Jane J. Benson and her husband Thomas of Wrentham, MA, and Matthew J. Anzivino of Charlottesville, VA, and is also survived by two nephews, Samuel L., and Fredric P. Jacobs, both of Wrentham.
Visiting hours at the R. J. Ross Funeral Home, 135 South St., Route 1A, Wrentham, will be on Saturday afternoon, January 7, 2012 from 4-7PM. Relatives and friends kindly invited.
All other services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that contributions in Chip's memory be made to the American Diabetes Association , P.O. Box 11454 Alexandria, VA 22312 or the ASPCA, 424 E. 92nd St., New York, NY 10128. Arrangements are in the care of the R.J.
