Carl O. Bushnell passed away on November 22, 2005, at his residence. He was born on April 6, 1943, to the late Amon Ziar Bushnell and Mamie E. Rowell Bushnell in Rockwall, Texas.
Carl moved to Terrell in 1953 when he was only 10 years old. Carl spent 38 years working for Vista Wall and its predecessors. He attended First Assembly of God Church as a child when it was still located on Catherine Street. As an adult he has been a faithful and very loved member of the First Assembly and a man that former Pastor Pete Pulley and present Pastor Lonnie Harris could always call upon to help with any need of the church.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Claude A. and John O. Bushnell; sister, Joyce A. Huffman and brothers-in-law Norman Slaughter, Gene McBride and Don Huffman.
He is survived by his sisters, Marie Slaughter, Ruth O. Childers. Doris Ada Garcia and husand Daniel, Martha Prater and husband Gary, and Betty Gibson and husband Danny, all of Terrell; brothers Clyde Bushnell and wife Wanda of Kaufman, William (Bill) Bushnell and wife Rachel of Brockville, Ontario, Canada, Samuel (Sam) Bushnell and wife Yvonne of Forney, Worth (PeeWee) Bushnell and wife Shirley of Terrell, and Rev. Joe Bushnell and wife Kathy of Merkel,Texas; sisers-in-law, Mrs. Isabel Bushnell of Richardson and Mrs. Shari Bushnell of Athens.
