The youngest son of Henry Alfred “Tookie” and Elma Abshire Ardoin, Larry Wayne Ardoin was born on November 19, 1958 in Orange, Texas. His older siblings were Roger Dale, Barbara Elaine and Ronnie Earl.

Larry and his wife, Stasia Scott, had two daughters, Mallory Ann and Casey Corin.

Larry worked as a boilermaker for twenty-six years. His favorite pastimes were spending time with his family and riding motorcycles.

Although he lived most of his life in Orange County, Texas, he moved to Longview to be near his daughters and grandchildren. While living there, on May 6, 2011, he died in a fire.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Roger Dale and Ronnie Earl. He is survived by his daughters, Mallory and Casey Ardoin of Longview; sister, Barbara Ardoin of Humble; grandchildren, Markus Ardoin, Kaylee Vice, Keon Washington, Kasen Ardoin and Nickolas Vice; and ex-wife, Stasia Scott of Longview.

A memorial service was held on May 9, 2011 at Spring Hill Assembly of God Church in Longview with the Rev. David Badders officiating.
