Belt Valley Times (MT), 28 Oct 1909:
Death of a Young Girl
Fay, the 14-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph L. Springer, died last night after an illness of over two years. A nervous disease that baffled the skill of the foremost physicians was the cause of the death.
Miss Springer was born in Iowa, and came to Belt when a young child. She attended the public schools until attacked by the malady which caused her death. A singularly bright and lovable child and a general favorite of both teachers and playmates, her death has cast a shadow over hearts in sympathy with the bereaved family.
