Mrs. Mattie H. Cawthon, 77, of 33 West 3rd St. died Wednesday night. A native of Baker County, she had lived in Jacksonville for 60 years. Survivors include her husband, Bender A. Cawthon; 2 sons, Joseph Ressie Harvey, Jr., and Daniel A. Harvey, all of Jacksonville; a daughter, Mrs. Arcie I. Newsome of Keystone Heights; a brother, Lonnie L. Dugger of Holly Hill, Florida; 4 sisters, Mrs. Amanda Prevatt, Mrs. Eva Walker, Mrs. Ida Milton, and Mrs. Blanche Ruis, all of Macclenny, 4 granddaughters, 5 grandsons, and 8 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M. Saturday from the Macclenny Primitive Baptist Church, of which she was a member, with Elder James A. Land, Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements by John M. Brinkley, Mortician, Macclenny.
