Moyock - Joseph Munden Pritchard, 90, passed away in his home on Friday, June 8, 2012. He was retired from the former Norfolk Naval Air Rework Facility as a production superintendent with more than thirty-five years of government service. Mr. Pritchard was a longtime member of Pilmoor Memorial United Methodist Church and founder of their Methodist Men's Club. He was also a faithful member and past Master of Currituck Masonic Lodge #463. Mr. Pritchard was a WWII veteran. He served aboard the USS Yorktown, CV5 and survived the Battle of Midway.

He was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Nancy Munden Pritchard. Mr. Pritchard is survived by his wife of sixty-nine years, Margaret; his daughter, Janet Lane; his granddaughter, Ellen Gazala and her husband Jodat; his two great-granddaughters, Sarah and Linda Gazala; a sister, Grace Lee Seymore and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 12, 2012, the Rev. Randy Blanchard conducting. A private burial will follow in Moyock Cemetery.
