Investigators were searching Sunday for a gunman who killed three people - including two former Auburn University football players - and wounded three others at a pool party near campus after several men got in a fight over a woman

Those killed were Edward Christian, who had not been playing because of a back injury, and Ladarious Phillips, who had previously quit playing football. The other person killed was 20-year-old Demario Pitts.

The funeral service for DeMario Antwan Pitts, 20, of Opelika, Alabama will be at 12:00 noon, Friday, June 15, 2012, at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Loachapoka, Alabama, with burial in Westview Cemetery, Rev. Anthony Shealey, Pastor, Bishop A.L. Dowdell will officiate.

Mr. Pitts, who passed away Saturday, June 9, 2012 at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, Alabama, was born January 3, 1992 in Jefferson County, Alabama.

Survivors include: mother, Barbara Pitts of Opelika, AL; father, Calvin (Dedra) Ranzie of Opelika, AL; two children, DeMario Antwan Pitts, Jr. of Auburn, AL, Carly Pitts of Opelika, AL; three sisters, Tanisha Jackson, Amayah Jackson of Opelika, AL, and Brittany Spinks of Auburn, AL; four brothers, DeKelvin Spinks, LaKeith Reese of Auburn, AL, Alexander Pitts, Jr. of Opelika, AL, and Cornelius Jackson of Atmore, AL; grandparents, Sarah Rowe of Auburn, AL, Maggie (George) Frazier of Notasulga, AL; eight aunts, Barbara (Rodney) Jones, Opelika, AL, Tangela (Oscar) Frazier, Fawn Baker Willis, Drusilla (Johnny) Stinson, Princess Rowe, Allison Baker of Auburn, AL, Dorothy Drake of Opelika, AL, and Felicia (Alphonso, Jr.) Johnson of Notasulga, AL; three uncles, John L.
