He died in the Terry Community Hospital of a heart ailment.

He was born at Postal, South Bessarabia (South Russia).

He married Christina Elhard Jan. 20, 1915 at the bride's home near Jud, N.D. In March, they moved to their homestead in eastern Montana, in the Cabin Creek area, 28 miles southeast of Fallon. There they made their home until November 1963 when they retired and moved to Terry.

Survivors included the widow, Christina, Terry; four sons, Albert and Theodore of Fallon, Morris of Billings and Clarence (Andy) of Terry; three brothers Theophil of Kulm, N.D., Otto of Fredonia, N.D. and Ernest of Lodi, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Lydia Bohnet of Entwistle, Alberta, Canada, Mrs. Amelia Fode and Mrs. Bertha Fode, both of Jud and five grandchildren.
