Billy Joe Sliger 45, Clermont, died at 1:30 a.m. Saturday in Lake Community Hospital in Leesburg. Mr. Sliger was a native of Washington County, TN but had lived in Florida for the past several years. He was a U.S. Marine Corps. veteran of the Korean War and was a painting contractor.
Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Mae Denton Sliger, Jonesboro, TN; one daughter, Marilyn J. Sliger, of the home; six sisters, Mrs. Golda Wockenfuss and Mrs. Ruth Broyles, both of Johnson City, TN, Mrs. Dorothy Kondelis, of Baltimore, MD, Mrs Emogene Hartness, Raleigh, NC, Mrs. Carolyn Breunig, Chula Vista, CA, and Ms Pauline Sliger, Jonesboro, TN; several nieces and nephews. The body is being taken to Johnson City, TN for services and burial.
