Doristine Fields Wesley was born to Alvin and Mozell Anderson in McAlester, OK on January 9, 1949. She was the first of 13 children. Her parents soon relocated to Los Angeles, CA in 1952.

She was introduced to the Lord in the early part of her life. Doris and her family were members of the United Faith Church, pastored by Rev. Al of Fresno, CA. Doris attended elementary, middle and high school in Los Angeles.

Doris met and married Johnnie Wesley, Jr. in the year of November 1969 in Los Angeles, CA. She loves collecting all kinds of videos and she was a very talkative person. She was known to some as the Harold Examiner, and to others The Los Angeles Times. She also loved playing tricks on people just to see them smile.

Doris also loved spending quality time with her sisters and family. Our sister, Doris Wesley, answered her heavenly call on April 18, 2001 at Fresno, Community Hospital, Wednesday morning at 3:30 a.m.

Doris now leaves to cherish her precious memories, her husband of 32 years, Johnnie Wesley, Jr. of Fresno, CA; one aunt, Marvine Lageman of Los Angeles, CA; ten children, Tracy, Dollie, Sheena, Satrina, Johnnie, Jonathan, Felicia, and Johnnie Jr. of Fresno, CA; Donald Ray and Margaret Jean of Los Angeles, CA; her sisters, Sister Brenda (Precious), Evang. Lorraine (Candy) of Rialto, CA, Alicia (Butterball) and Angela (Mama Ducse) of Los Angeles, CA, Sharon (Cheeda) of Fresno, CA; Helen (Pineapples), and Doris was (Gypsy), Alfrida, Lenell, Rayzell, Shameka of Long Beach, CA, Evon of Hanford, CA, Alvin Jr. and Deonte of Long Beach, CA; her father, Alvin Anderson of Los Angeles, CA; her God-sisters, Patsy, Peanoche, Helen, Jeannette, and God-brother, John L. Grissom; Godmother Emma Finisther; 21 grandchildren. Mother Mozell Anderson, Shirley, her sister; and Jonita, her baby, all preceded her in death.

A great host of uncles, aunts, nephews, cousins and so many, many friends. Sweetheart, we, this host of people will surely miss you.
