BYRON DECALB BLAYLOCK
Funeral services for Byron Decalb Blaylock, 94, of Pleasant Hill, who passed away June 28, 1997 in Standing Stone Health Care, were held July 1 from the chapel of Bilbrey Funeral Home, with burial in Browntown Cemetery.
He was born May 29, 1903 in Crossville, the son of Joe and Mary Dyer Blaylock.
Mr. Blaylock was a laborer and of the Baptist faith. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Survivors include his wife, Dolly Blaylock of Pleasant Hill; daughters, Ann Davis of Pleasant Hill and Louise Norris of Crossville; son, Jerry Blaylock of Crossville, AL; 16 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and sisters, Lola Buckner of Monterey, and Roba Fraizer and Vina Lawson both of Pleasant Hill.
He was preceded in death by seven children, two brothers, three sisters, and his parents, Joseph and Mary Dyer Blaylock.
Pallbearers were Jimmy Davis, Michael Davis, Tommy Blaylock, Charles Dodson, Larry Flynn and Earl Flynn.
Bro. Jimmy B. Hill officiated.
Bilbrey Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
