Stanley J. Lewis of 432 Wyoming Ave., worked more than 20 years in the accounting department of Great Western Sugar Co., and was a golf teacher at the Highland Country Club. His hobby was golfing and fishing on Rock Creek.
He moved in 1941 from Sheridan, Wyo., to Billings.
He died Monday at age 79 in the Billings Deaconess Hospital.
Born in Oskaloosa, Iowa, a son of Melvin and Florence Lewis, he lived in Iowa and Nebraska, and worked for the Standard Oil Co.
During World War I he was an Army second lieutenant. He was a member of the American Legion.
In 1927 he married Ruth E. Eklund in Waterlook Neb.
Survivors include his wife and a sister, Lillian Alcorn of Santa Cruz, Calif.
Services will be 1 p.m. Friday in the Michelotte-Sawyers Mortuary. Burial will be in Mountview Cemetery.
