Mr. Cawthon was born December 13, 1926 in Rogers, Arkansas to the late Adam W. Cawthon and Ruby (Cochran) Cawthon. He married Golda Lee Bailey on November 15, 1949 at Sheppard Air Force Base. Ralph has been an active member of Lakeview Church of the Nazarene for 58 years. He retired after 22 years of service in United States Air Force as a Senior Master Sergeant and was a Chaplain's Assistant for most of that time. He remained here in Wichita Falls after his retirement in 1969 and went on to work for the Texas Employment Commission for 11 years . Ralph was a talented harmonica player, learning to play at six years of age.
He is survived by his wife, Golda Cawthon of Wichita Falls; daughters, Dawn Aletha Behrens of Stillwater, OK and Anita Lee Moody and husband, David of Wichita Falls; son Stephen Wesley Cawthon and wife, Shelby of Waxahachie, TX; sister, Florence Emily Briggs of Owassa, OK; eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Also surviving are his and Golda's extended family at Royal Estate. Ralph was preceded in death by a son, Jonathan David Cawthon in 2008 and also other brothers and sisters.
