A lifetime resident of Providence, she was predeceased by her husband Jerry D. Kelley on April 1, 2012 after 48 years of marriage. Surviving family members include a son, daughter in law and grandchildren, Jeffrey and Samantha Kelley and their two children Jordan Kelley and Delaney Kelley all of Providence. Jeannie is survived by her two brothers David Guinn and Rodney Guinn both of Providence. She is also survived by a sister in law, Katherine Vaughn also of Providence and many nieces and nephews.
A homemaker, she also worked as an assistant librarian at the Providence Public Library, Broadway Elementary School and Providence High School in past years. In addition she was a member and secretary/treasurer for J. Kelley and Associates, Inc. Real Estate and Appraisal Company in Providence for 30 years.
She was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Providence.
Jeannie touched the lives of many people with her smile and generosity and many knew her for her original oil paintings.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 13at 1 PM at Jones & Erdman in Providence with Bro. Ralph Alexander officiating. Interment will be in White Oak Cemetery. Visitation is on Wednesday from 11 AM to service time at the funeral home.
The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in the name of Jeannie M. Kelley to St. Anthony's Hospice, 2410 S. Green St. Henderson, Ky 42420
