Mr.Pate died Sunday, Febuary 11, 1996, at Manor Care Center in Davenport. Mr.Pate was born March 31, 1916 in Davenport the son of John and Elizabeth (Pearasall) Pate.
He was employed as a forklift operator at the Rock Island Arsenal for many years. He was a World Wat II Army Veteran. He loved his cats and dogs.
Survivors include a sister, Gladys Overton, Davenport; and several nieces and nephews.
Burial is in Oakdale Memorial Park, Davenport.
Note added: Many people remember Emmett from his extreme exercises such as standing on his head on saw horses or hanging pararell in a telephone pole. His tricks were amamzing to many. He loved kids watching him.
