Alfred C. Cool passed away at his home on East Oregon Street March 29, after having been in poor health for a number of years. He has resided in Lapeer for 20 years and was well and favorably known here, where he had many friends.

Mr. Cool was born in Ellicottville, N. Y. in 1857, going to Flushing at the age of 14 and remaining there until 1884 when he married Miss Hattie Fesler of that town.

He leaves to mourn his loss, his wife, a son, George Cool, and daughter-in-law, Mrs, George Cool (Cassie Skinner) and a granddaughter, Fern Cool, all of whom live at the family residence; an aged mother, Mrs. Mundy of Gaines, two brother, John Cool of Morrice and Charles of Flint; and three sisters, Mrs. Richard Johnson of Clio, Mrs. Elgin Vincent of Gaines and Mrs. Ferd Harrington of St. Louis.

Funeral services were held at the residence Sunday afternoon, Rev. E. T. Potter officiating, assisted by Rev. M. L. Anderson. Interment was in Stiles Cemetery.

Out-of-town relatives and friends present for the services were Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Van Norman of Port Huron, Barlow Smith, Emory Smith, Mrs. Maggie Bronson and daughter of Montrose; Horace Sobey and son, Arthur, Mr. and Mrs. Reo Hallick, Mrs. Clyde Smith, of Flushing; Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Miller, Mrs. Walter Wagner, Mr and Mrs. Francis Bigger, Mr and Mrs. Harry Bush and Mrs. William Dennis, of Flint; Elmer and Charles Brandenburg of Detroit.
