Chuck E. Adams, 46, Sturgis, died Sunday, June 10, 2012, at Rapid City Regional Hospital.
Chuck was born March 3, 1966, in Sioux Falls, SD, to Jim and Shirley (Davidson) Adams. Chuck was raised in Sturgis where he graduated from Sturgis High School. He served ten years in the Army National Guard. He worked construction for Ainsworth Benning and Clair Donovan. He was employed by Lowe Roofing, where he had worked for many years until the time of his death.
He married Sherri Albert in Whitewood, SD, on December 2, 1987. The couple made Sturgis, SD, their home. Chuck was a die-hard NASCAR fan, who also enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and spending time with his family. He will be dearly missed by all who loved him.
Survivors include his wife, Sherri, Sturgis; sons, Joshua J. Adams, Sturgis, and Cole R. Burgess, Wellington, CO; his father, Jim Adams, Sturgis; brothers, Jim (Kathy) Adams, Whitewood, Allen Adams, and Joe Adams, both of Sturgis; sisters, Denise Adams, Belle Fourche, and Pamela (Carl) Bartlett, Pierre, SD; brothers-in-law, Dale (Dora) Albert, Arkadelphia, AR, and Mike (Sherry) Albert, Menahga, MN; sisters-in-law, Carol (Mike) Howard, Casper, WY, and Norma (Wayne) Howard, Sturgis; as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother; nephew, Tony; and mother and father-in-law, Bob and Barbara Albert.
Visitation will Wednesday at the Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis with the family present.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 14, 2012, at the Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis with Fr. Arnold Kari officiating. Burial will follow at the Bear Butte Cemetery.
