Mrs. Whetzel was a homemaker and was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Picayune, MS. She enjoyed the home shopping networks, current events and news channels on television, but one of the greatest enjoyments of her life was her family and taking care of her husband, children and grandchildren.
Surviving are her husband of 19 years, Theodore A. "Ted" Whetzel; one son, Jerry "Glynn" Knight, Jr. of Keyser; three daughters, Alison Lynn Gipson and husband Roy of Poplarville, MS, Martha Joyce "Marty" Elliott and husband Chris of Wiggins, MS and Pamela Jo Berg and husband Jeff of Petersburg, WV; one brother, Peter A. Smith and wife Odessia of Keyser; one sister, Stephanie S. Knight and husband Kenneth of Poplarville; six grandchildren.
