Betty Jo was born to parents, E.I. and Bettie (Crabb) Thornton on November 1, 1926, in Slaton, TX.
Betty Jo was a longtime resident of Albuquerque, NM, where she worked in the accounting departments of local car dealerships for over 40 years, retiring at age 77.
Betty Jo was an active member of Beta Sigma Phi for many years and recently enjoyed participating in the Red Hat Society.
Betty Jo is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Broughton of TX, grandsons, Travis Broughton of Albuquerque NM, and Clinton Broughton of TX and her brother, James Thornton of TX.
A Memorial Service will be held in her honor, on Thursday, November 29, 2007, in the Palm Chapel, of Daniels Family Funeral Services- Coal Location, at 1100 Coal Ave SE, at 2:00 p.m. Family requests that Memorial Contributions be made to a charity of your choice.
