Charles N. 'Bugg' Braucht September 11, 1928- January 12, 2012 Charles N. Braucht, 83, of Spring Mills, passed from this life on Jan. 12, 2012, at Mount Nittany Medical Center. Born in Coburn, Bugg was a son of the late Earl Rider and Grace Braucht. On Nov. 21, 1984, Bugg married Bette Reif Dickson. Bette survives at their home in Spring Mills. From age seven, Bugg was raised by his uncle and aunt, Lester and Ruth Zettle, of Spring Mills, for whom he farmed and later went into the antique business with. He loved the antique business, especially going to public sales where he would scout for antiques for the shop. He enjoyed traveling, with his favorite place to visit being the western states. Bugg was a member of the United Presbyterian Church in McAlevys Fort. He enjoyed participating in the local coffee club in Potters Mills, watching the wildlife at his home and feeding the birds. He especially loved spending time with his family. In addition to his wife, Bugg is survived by three daughters, Judy Brown (Robert), Pamela Smith (Dean) and Trudi Fleck (Brian), all of Spring Mills; one son, Dennis Reif (Debbie), of McAlevys Fort; one sister, Lois McDermott, of Farrandsville; and two brothers, Harold Englert (Sara), of Blanchard and Wayne Englert (Marge), of Castanea. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to a memorial service at the United Presbyterian Church in McAlevys Fort on Sunday, Jan. 15, 2012, at 2 p.m. with Rev. J. Daniel Morris officiating. In accordance with Bugg's wishes, anyone attending the memorial service please dress casually. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Bugg may be given to the United Presbyterian Church, 4359 McAlevys Fort Road, Petersburg, PA 16669.
