John Russell VanSyckle, 66, formerly of 1036 Jackson St., Easton, died yesterday at Gracedale, Nazareth R.D. 1, where he was a guest for five years. He had been ill the last five years.
Mr. VanSyckle retired six years ago after completing 37 years as a truck driver with the City of Easton Department of Sanitation.
He was born Feb. 27, 1898, in Easton, a son of the late John and Catherine VanSyckle.
He was of the United Church of Christ faith.
His wife, the former Sadie Outwater, died about 15 years ago.
