Mrs. Malarkey was born in Santa Barbara, Calif., and lived in Victoria, British Columbia, for several years before moving to Portland in 1928.
A noted equestrian, she also was a supporter of the Washington Park Zoo and the Oregon High Desert Museum. She was a member of The Town Club.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas B. Malarkey, two sons, and two grandchildren.
Her former husband, Dr. Samuel L. Diack, died in 1977.
The family suggests remembrances be contributions to Oregon High Desert Museum
