Mrs. George Marlborough, 87, of 1620 Hamilton St., Manitowoc, died late Tuesday afternoon at Manitowoc County Hospital after a coronary attack. Funeral services will be at 9:15 a.m. Friday at Mittnacht Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Clarks Mills. The Rev. Henry Arens will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery. The former Mary Doolan was born Oct. 4, 1876, in the Town of Morrison, Brown County, daughter of the late Bartholomew and Sarah Watt Doolan. She attended St. Patrick School at Maple Grove and in June of 1898, she was married to George Marlborough at Maple Grove. They operated a farm near Whitelaw and later at Clarks Mills until the death of Mr. Marlborough in 1944. Mrs. Marlborough moved to Manitowoc and made her home with a son, Thomas, until 1961. She had resided at Shady Lane and more recently at Manitowoc County Hospital. For many years Mrs. Marlborough had been active as a leader in the 4-H Club of Clarks Mills and had been a member of the County Homemakers Club. She was a member of St. Mary Christian Mothers Society at Clarks Mills. Surviving are two sons, Cyril of Clarks Mills and Thomas of Manitowoc; four daughters, Sister M. Madeline of St. Joseph Academy, Green Bay, Mrs. August Hoeft of Clarks Mills, Mrs. Ray Peschek of Milwaukee and Mrs. Leo Flaherty of Denmark; five sisters, Mrs. Helen Kane of Manitowoc, Mrs. John Keehan and Mrs. Henry Wittig of Green Bay and Miss Margaret Doolan and Mrs. Leo Lee of DePere; 18 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
