Stephen Alan McKinney, 74, of Olney, died at 5:42 a.m. Saturday, June 16, 2012, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Ind.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church in Olney with Reverend David McNabb and Pastor Ann Jones officiating. Cremation rites to be accorded following services.
Mr. McKinney was born December 18, 1937, the son of John W. and Audrey Page (Allen) McKinney. He married Judy Murray on March 16, 1958. She survives.
He was employed by First National Bank in Olney for 35 years. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Olney. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served from 1955-1959. He was a lifetime member of Elks Lodge.
Mr. McKinney is survived by his wife, Judy McKinney; daughter, Janet Everette and her husband, Pat, of Olney; sister, Marilyn Jean Jones, of Santa Barbara, Calif.; brother, Avery McKinney and his wife, Mary Jo, of Olney; sister-in-law, Pat Holsen and her husband, Joe, of Olney; sister-in-law, Jan McKinney, of Olney; brother-in-law, Dr. Michael Murray and his wife, Molly, of Olney; granddaughter, Jessica VanDyke and her husband, Jamie, of Olney; granddaughter, Lauren McClain and her husband, Rob, of Olney; daughter-in-law and son-in-law, Pam and Art Rathjen and their son, Mac; and great-grandchildren, Jorri and Jakoby VanDyke and Nora McClain.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Audrey McKinney; one son, Sean Robert McKinney; and two brothers, John William and Jimmy McKinney.
